Biography & Interests
Since 1999 I am active in the field of measuring and controlling IT projects and applications. I started my career in IT on the demand side. As purchaser/senior user I was responsible for the whole process from requirements to accepting new releases of an exploration management system. I progressed to measurement of IT to create insight into development and maintenance of applications. Next to my work for customers I was regularly involved in business development. Recent examples are scope management and IT direction for demand-supply relations. My drive is in the creation of insight. That insight is the starting point of (managing) project and process improvement. For me methods serve results instead of methods being a fixed dogma that may be an obstacle for innovation. I have a pleasant personality, open and communicative, and I am able to use my enthousiasm to create commitment within my working environment. I am currently managing the Pricing Office, which is the knowledge center for internal cost calculations for service offerings to customers. The Pricing Office is a long-term improvement program within the Proposal Management Center of Ordina. An operational task of the Pricing Office is to produce reference calculations based on models and experience data to challenge expert calculations. The Pricing Office also gives advice on the commercial pricing of service offerings. I am member of the Measurement Practices Committee of COSMIC and a member of the Counting Practices Committee of NESMA.
